Families and Friends of the Potomac Community

We are families and friends from across the Potomac Community, united in our strong opposition to the proposed separation and reassignment of students at Wayside Elementary out of our community.

Our community is geographically cohesive, with deep-rooted relationships among neighbors and a shared commitment to a caring, diverse, and well- functioning school cluster. Targeting and reassigning students from Wayside Elementary School would disrupt family continuity, dismantle peer networks, and erode trust in the MCPS planning process.

We strongly urge MCPS to preserve the integrity of our community and allow local voices to guide decisions.

Our strength lies in our unity—let’s build our community, not destroy it by breaking it apart.
